The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for the sale of its 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application forms to May 8, in a move aimed at giving candidates more time to complete their registration process.
According to a statement issued by the Board’s communication advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the extension is intended to ensure that no qualified applicant is excluded from the admission exercise.
As part of efforts to ease registration challenges and improve access, JAMB also approved five additional registration centres across the country.
The newly approved centres include the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), Mini Campus, University of Ilorin in Kwara State; Bells University of Technology, Ota in Ogun State; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in Ogun State; Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo in Oyo State; and Human Development Initiatives (Grace House), Iwaya in Lagos State, which is scheduled to begin operations from April 30, 2026.
The Board assured candidates that its offices nationwide, along with Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs), remain fully operational to support smooth and efficient registration.
