Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has shared a heartfelt experience about how actor Odunlade Adekola supported her during a challenging moment on a movie set.

In an interview with Jeff Omolewa TV, she recounted how a production she was handling turned stressful after issues arose with one of the cast members.

Habibat explained that she had paid an actor N80,000 for a role, but his attitude reportedly changed after he discovered she had worked with Odunlade Adekola on the same project. According to her, the actor later demanded his remaining balance before continuing filming and eventually stormed off set, leaving her in distress as she chased after his vehicle while pleading with him to return.

She said the incident left her emotionally drained but also strengthened her as a filmmaker.

“All of these built me and made me stronger as a producer,” she said.

The actress added that the following day on set, she was visibly down, and Odunlade noticed her mood and asked what was wrong.

After she opened up about her financial struggles, she said the veteran actor immediately gave her N20,000 without asking for anything in return.

“I begged Odunlade to accept N130,000 from me to star in my movie. He accepted it, and when we got to the location, we acted out a scene, and he left,” she recalled.

She continued: “Another actor, when he came on set and heard that I had done a scene with Odunlade, changed his behaviour towards me. Someone I had already paid N80,000 changed his behaviour and started asking for his balance before he could shoot another scene. The actor drove off, and I had to pursue his car while pleading with him. I can’t forget it.”

Habibat ended the story with appreciation for Odunlade’s kindness, saying: “Brother Odun, God bless you. If I remember what I did, my heart prays for him.”
