Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has said he would have no problem stepping back from acting and becoming a house husband if his wife happens to earn significantly more than him.

He made the comment during a conversation on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he discussed marriage, family life, and financial roles between partners.

According to him, he is open to his wife being the main provider in the home if she is extremely successful financially.

“If my wife makes $1-10 million per annum, I’ll quit acting and be a house husband… I will carry my children to school and cook even tho I don’t know how to cook (giggles),” he said.

The actor noted that such a decision would not be driven by pride, but by practicality, adding that he would gladly take on domestic responsibilities if it benefits the family.

His statement has since sparked reactions online, with many praising his perspective on modern relationships and shifting gender roles, while others debated the idea of reversing traditional family expectations.
