The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn against Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.
The draw took place on Monday, May 19, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo, Egypt.
Nigeria, coached by Éric Chelle, were placed among the seeded teams alongside other top African nations and are widely expected to progress from the group, with the top two teams set to qualify for the tournament finals.
The qualifying series will be played across three FIFA international windows between September 2026 and March 2027.
Matchdays one and two will hold from September 21 to October 6, 2026, while rounds three and four are scheduled for November 9 to 17, 2026. The final qualifying fixtures will take place from March 22 to 30, 2027.
The AFCON 2027 tournament will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from June 19 to July 17, 2027.
