Nigerian socialite and entertainer Pretty Mike has spoken about the public reactions that follow his attention-grabbing stunts, saying he views them as part of his lifestyle and creative expression.

He explained that he is always aware that anything done in the public space will attract both praise and criticism, adding that he has learned over time to develop emotional resilience.

According to him, online reactions are usually temporary, no matter how intense they appear at the moment.

He described his creative process as largely spontaneous, saying he does not rely on a structured team or detailed planning before executing his ideas. For him, the stunts are simply a form of entertainment and performance art.

Pretty Mike also noted that he is not bothered by spending significant amounts of money on such projects, as he sees it as part of enjoying life and expressing creativity, similar to how others spend on leisure or travel.

He said:

“I see it as part of the business. Before I do anything, I already know it can go either way, so I prepare myself mentally. Over the years, I have developed a thick skin. Some stunts go viral positively, some attract criticism, but I never let it affect me psychologically.

I always tell myself that after a few days, the noise will fade. Honestly, some of them feel divine. I do not have a creative team sitting down to plan these things. Sometimes I just wake up with an idea. As for the criticism, I understand it. But I also see stunts as entertainment and performance art.

There is really no limit to what I can spend on a stunt because, to me, it is part of having fun and creating an experience. Some people spend money travelling or partying. I channel mine into creative expressions,” he said.
