A tragic incident has been reported in Anambra State following the 2026 UEFA Champions League final, as an Arsenal supporter allegedly died while watching the match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
The deceased, identified as Chibuzor Nzediegwu, a native of Uga in Aguata Local Government Area, was said to have collapsed during the tense encounter after PSG equalised, increasing the pressure on Arsenal as the game progressed.
According to reports, Chibuzor slumped in the second half of the final and was later confirmed dead. The development reportedly left his family, friends and members of his community devastated.
During his burial, relatives and mourners gathered to pay their last respects as traditional funeral rites were observed before he was laid to rest.
