Rasmus Højlund has completed a permanent transfer to Napoli following a successful loan spell from Manchester United last season.
The Denmark international impressed during his time in Italy, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances as Napoli finished as runners-up in Serie A and secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Højlund originally joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023 for a reported fee of $82 million, arriving with high expectations as one of Europe’s most promising young forwards.
However, his opportunities at Old Trafford became limited after the club strengthened their attacking options with the arrivals of Benjamin Šeško, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha, which pushed him further down the pecking order.
Napoli have now sealed his permanent signing in a deal reportedly worth around $58 million, bringing his spell in England to an end and confirming his long-term future in Italy.
