Judy Austin’s ex-husband, Obasi, has continued to air his grievances over the actress’ relationship with Yul Edochie, sharing more details about the sacrifices he claims he made for her before their marriage collapsed.
Just a day after a clip from his appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast went viral, where he alleged that Judy admired Yul Edochie while they were still married, another video from the interview has surfaced online.
In the new clip, Obasi recounted how he met Judy at a young age and supported her financially and academically.
“Judy Austin, I just choose her. That time I’m 27 years old. She’s a fine girl, but their pocket is not fine,” he said.
When one of the hosts suggested Judy came from a humble background, Obasi disagreed.
“Not humble. They are wretched,” he replied.
Obasi went on to claim that he introduced Judy to many things she had not previously experienced, including owning a mobile phone.
“I’m the very person that makes her to know how phone used to be. The first phone she used, I bought it. Samsung, the one wey dey open that time,” he said.
He also alleged that he paid for her WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations after she told him she was struggling financially.
“She told me that the most problem she’s facing is WAEC, NECO and otherwise. I paid for WAEC, NECO, JAMB. It’s not something they can deny,” he stated.
According to Obasi, his generosity was not limited to Judy alone. He claimed he also sponsored one of her cousins who lived with her family at the time and wanted to sit for the same examinations.
“After I pay for her own, there is one of their cousin brother that lives with them that time. The guy started causing commotion in their house because he wanted to write the exam too. I called him and he explained everything to me. Then, I did the same expenses I did on Judith on that same guy,” he said.
The resurfaced interview has generated fresh conversations on social media, with many reacting to Obasi’s emotional account of his past relationship with Judy Austin and the events he believes led to their separation.
