Judy Austin has responded to allegations made by her ex-husband, Emmanuel Obasi, who accused her of infidelity during their marriage and raised claims of betrayal and denial of access to their child.
In a video circulating online, the actress addressed the controversy, insisting that Obasi has not provided any evidence showing he has taken responsibility for their child or pursued custody through legal means. She also claimed that much of the ongoing public discussion has been centred on attacking her rather than addressing the full situation.
Judy also defended her partner, actor Yul Edochie, urging bloggers and social media users to stop dragging his name into the matter. She maintained that he has been supportive in her life and has contributed to caring for her children from her previous relationship.
She further stated that she met Yul years after her first marriage had ended, stressing that their relationship did not overlap with her previous union. According to her, Obasi has made contradictory statements online and has avoided settling the dispute in court.
The actress also argued that public criticism of individuals who support single mothers could discourage others from helping families in need, warning against what she described as unfair online attacks.
She concluded by expressing readiness to face the matter legally, insisting that the court system will determine the truth in the ongoing dispute.
“It hurts. Not once has he ever brought out any evidence of taking care of this kid… Not once has he ever brought out any evidence of going to court for custody… Please, I am warning all you bloggers, stop insulting Yul Edochie… I met him three years after my marriage ended… If we continue to allow deadbeats to come out and lie… what will be the fate of all descendants? … As for Emmanuel Obasi, we will meet where we’re supposed to meet. And the law will grant justice to who deserves it,” she said.
