Gospel music executive EeZee Tee has stirred conversations online after making strong allegations about the state of the gospel music industry, describing it as an environment plagued by hypocrisy and hidden wrongdoing.

In a statement shared on social media, EeZee Tee argued that many of the negative traits often attributed to the secular music scene are equally present within gospel music circles, though they are rarely exposed to the public.

According to him, the industry hides behind religion and appearances, making it difficult for outsiders to see what truly happens behind the scenes.

“The Gospel Music Industry is DARKER than what you think. It is clothed in Hypocrisy, lies, denials, pretense and deep religion, so folks rarely see through it,” he wrote.

The music executive further claimed that the industry is driven more by performance and emotions than genuine spirituality.

“It is more performance-based, than spirit led and driven more by emotions than spirituality.”

EeZee Tee also suggested that many gospel artists and stakeholders who frequently criticize secular musicians are fully aware of the challenges and alleged misconduct within their own industry.

“Most of the Gospel folks who criticize the secular industry, know this for a fact.”

Drawing from his years of experience, he said he has had the opportunity to interact with people in both the gospel and secular music spaces and believes the public has little knowledge of what goes on behind closed doors.

“I have been here for a while and have been privileged to engage with both INDUSTRIES and trust me, you have no idea the evil that goes on in the ‘GOSPEL INDUSTRY’.”

He concluded by stating that individuals who attempt to challenge wrongdoing within the industry often face hostility and backlash.

“Once you stand up against the evil, you are hated and become a target. May JESUS help us. Selah.”
