Ivory Coast boosted their chances of reaching the FIFA World Cup knockout stage after cruising to a commanding victory over Curaçao in their final Group E fixture.

The Elephants dominated the encounter from the opening whistle, controlling possession and creating the majority of the scoring opportunities while keeping their opponents on the back foot.

Elsewhere in the group, Ecuador pulled off a surprise 2-1 victory over Germany to finish third, with their knockout-stage fate set to be determined.

For Curaçao, the defeat brought their World Cup campaign to an end after they were outclassed by a superior Ivory Coast side.
