The Netherlands secured a 3-1 victory over Tunisia in their final Group F match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Kansas City on Friday.

Tunisia suffered an early setback when Ellyes Skhiri scored an own goal in the third minute. Brian Brobbey doubled the Dutch advantage just four minutes later before Jan Paul van Hecke added a third goal in the 62nd minute. Hazem Mastouri, who plays for FC Dynamo Makhachkala, netted Tunisia’s only goal of the match.

Elsewhere in Group F, Sweden and Japan played out a 1-1 draw in Arlington, a result that saw all three nations—the Netherlands, Japan, and Sweden—book their places in the knockout stage of the tournament.

The expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup features 48 teams and is being co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19, with Argentina entering the competition as the defending champions.
