Former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela, has been thrown into mourning following the death of two of his children, Mustapha and Ummi, in a fatal road accident.

The tragic crash happened on Saturday along the Bauchi–Azare highway as the siblings were travelling back from Azare.

Reacting to the incident, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed deep sorrow, saying he received the news with shock and sadness. He described the accident as a heartbreaking tragedy that has left the entire state grieving.

According to the governor, the deaths of the two young family members represent a painful loss not only to Senator Tela and his relatives but also to the people of Bauchi State.

He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants Mustapha and Ummi eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and gives their parents, family members, friends, and loved ones the strength and patience to cope with the loss.

In a condolence statement issued by his Media Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed also sympathized with other victims of the accident and prayed for the quick recovery of those who were injured.

He further urged residents of Bauchi State to remember the deceased in their prayers and asked Allah to comfort the bereaved family during this difficult period.
