Ange Postecoglou has been named the new head coach of Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr after signing a two-year contract with the club.
The appointment marks the Australian manager’s return to coaching after he was dismissed by Nottingham Forest in October, ending a difficult 39-day spell during which he failed to record a single victory in eight matches.
Al Nassr confirmed the appointment on Friday, welcoming the 60-year-old to the club as he takes over from Jorge Jesus.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss had recently been working as a football pundit for ITV Sport during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At Al Nassr, Postecoglou will coach a star-studded squad featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, João Félix, Sadio Mané and Kingsley Coman.
Before his brief time at Nottingham Forest, Postecoglou spent two seasons with Tottenham, guiding the club to the 2024-25 UEFA Europa League title—its first major trophy in 17 years. However, he was later sacked after Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League, having suffered a record 22 defeats in the campaign.
