A touching tribute written by the wife of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has gone viral, revealing the depth of their love and the memories they built together.

In the emotional note, she affectionately called the actor “Dadaa” and reflected on the special names he gave her, including “Pookstar,” “Asa IKUKU,” and “Nwa.” She said those names meant more than words, becoming a source of warmth and comfort in their marriage.

She recounted how Alex stood firmly by her side when she lost her mother last year, describing him as the strength she leaned on during one of the hardest periods of her life.

“When my mother passed a year ago, you were my anchor. You held me together during a season where everything felt heavy. Your love gave me the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other,” she wrote.

The grieving widow admitted that she still instinctively reaches out for him every day before reality sets in that he is no longer there in the way he once was.

She also shared memories of the handwritten notes Alex would leave around their home, saying they were simple but powerful reminders of how deeply he loved her.

“Little messages from my Dadaa to his Nwa. Sometimes sweet, sometimes just a simple reminder that I was loved. Dadaa, you mattered. To so many people, in so many ways.

“And that is why this loss feels enormous. You are my Dadaa, you will always be my favourite human being. Forever your Nwa,” she added.

She described their union as one built on faith, noting that they prayed together and trusted in God’s promises. According to her, Alex’s kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.
