Nigerian-born content creator Bemi Orojuogun, widely known online as “Bus Aunty,” has landed a surprise appearance alongside British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in a video announcing a major transport policy.

The video was released as Burnham unveiled plans to reduce the maximum price of a single bus ticket across England from £3 to £2. The new fare is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027, and will stay in effect until December 31, 2027.

Borrowing Bus Aunty’s signature filming style, Burnham recorded himself with a moving bus in the background before explaining that his administration wanted to make public transport more affordable for millions of commuters.

After his remarks, Bus Aunty joined the clip with a playful response, joking that the Prime Minister was copying her style.

“Oh, Prime Minister, you’re stealing my job!” she said with a smile.

Burnham laughed it off and described the policy as one that had received Bus Aunty’s approval, to which she replied, “It’s a fantastic idea. Thank you so much, Prime Minister.”

The announcement has drawn attention online, with many praising the unexpected collaboration between the British leader and the Nigerian TikTok personality.

Once introduced, the £2 fare cap will apply to bus services across England outside London, where fares are managed under a different system. It will replace the current £3 maximum fare.
