The Nigerian Army has reportedly detained two serving soldiers over claims that they were involved in an unauthorised security operation at the wedding of content creators Peller and Jarvis in Lekki, Lagos.

According to SaharaReporters, the soldiers were arrested on Tuesday after intelligence suggested they provided security at the high-profile ceremony without obtaining official military approval.

The personnel were identified as Private Onasanya Ifeoluwa and Private Ukpai Onyinyechi, both serving with the 81 Division Medical Services and Hospital (81DMSH), Obalende, Lagos.

Military sources said investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding their deployment and whether additional soldiers were involved in the alleged unauthorised assignment.

The arrests followed the circulation of videos from the wedding showing uniformed soldiers controlling crowds and accompanying guests. One widely shared clip allegedly showed a soldier escorting TikTok personality Ivanna into the venue.

Under Nigerian Army regulations, serving personnel are prohibited from providing private security services or taking part in deployments without official authorisation. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
