Premier League champions Arsenal have bolstered their attack with the signing of Greek international Christos Tzolis from Belgian side Club Brugge.
The 24-year-old forward completed a reported £34 million move to the Emirates after agreeing to a long-term contract with the North London club.
Tzolis arrives following an impressive spell in Belgium, where he registered 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances for Club Brugge. He fills the gap left by Leandro Trossard, who recently departed for Turkish club Besiktas.
Reacting to the transfer, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta praised the forward’s versatility and technical qualities, describing him as a player capable of operating anywhere across the front line.
He also expressed confidence that Tzolis’ goal contributions, work ethic and mentality would strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad ahead of the new season.
