Arsenal delivered a strong statement in the Premier League title race with a commanding 3-0 win over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium, piling pressure on Manchester City.

Viktor Gyokeres was the star of the night, finding the net twice, while Bukayo Saka marked his return to the starting lineup in style. Back in action for the first time since the Carabao Cup final defeat to City on March 22, Saka played a key role by setting up Gyokeres’ early opener in the ninth minute before getting on the scoresheet himself late in the first half.

The Gunners tightened their grip on the game just before the break when Gyokeres rose to head in a cross from Leandro Trossard during stoppage time, sealing an impressive first-half performance.

The result puts Arsenal six points clear at the top of the table ahead of City, also boasting a slightly better goal difference, although they have played two more matches.

City now turn their focus to upcoming fixtures against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and Brentford at home, while Arsenal prepare to face West Ham in their next league outing.

Despite recent tension at the Emirates as they pursue a long-awaited league title, Arsenal’s dominant display suggests they are growing in confidence at a crucial stage of the season.
