Aston Villa have been crowned Europa League champions after a dominant win over German side Freiburg in Istanbul, securing a historic European triumph.

The English club produced a commanding performance at Tupras Stadium on Wednesday night, running out 3–0 winners thanks to goals from Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia, and England international Morgan Rogers.

The victory marks Aston Villa’s first major trophy in 30 years and their first European title since their famous 1982 success, sparking jubilant celebrations among supporters both in the stadium and back home in England.

Among those in attendance was Prince William, who was seen celebrating passionately in the stands as Villa sealed the win.

The triumph also further cements the reputation of manager Unai Emery, who has now won the Europa League five times. He previously lifted the trophy three times with Sevilla and once with Villarreal, extending his record as one of the competition’s most successful coaches.
