Blaqbonez has filed a lawsuit against fellow rapper Odumodublvck, demanding ₦2.55 billion in damages over alleged defamation, harassment, threats and reputational harm.

The legal action marks the latest chapter in the pair’s long-running feud, which recently escalated after Odumodublvck publicly accused Blaqbonez of sexual assault. Blaqbonez denied the allegation and has now taken the matter to court.

In a legal memorandum issued through his lawyers, Blaqbonez accused Odumodublvck of malicious online publications, threats to life, injurious falsehood, harassment, assault, battery and unlawful interference with his personal and professional life.

The suit argues that Odumodublvck’s repeated social media posts referring to Blaqbonez as a “sexual abuser” were false, malicious and defamatory, causing serious damage to his reputation, emotional wellbeing, brand value and business interests.

Among the reliefs sought, Blaqbonez is asking the court to declare the statements defamatory, order Odumodublvck to delete all offending posts, publish a public retraction and apology on his verified social media accounts, and restrain him from making similar allegations or threats in the future.

He is also requesting that Odumodublvck be directed to warn his supporters against harassing or intimidating him.

Blaqbonez is seeking ₦2 billion in general damages, ₦500 million in aggravated damages and ₦50 million as the cost of the legal action, bringing the total claim to ₦2.55 billion.

The allegations contained in the lawsuit remain before the court, and Odumodublvck has yet to publicly respond to the legal action.
