The Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja has granted controversial relationship expert and social media influencer Blessing CEO bail in the sum of N20 million as she faces trial over an alleged N69.15 million fraud.
Delivering his ruling on Thursday, Justice Rahman Oshodi approved her release on bail after reviewing her application and the nature of the charges filed against her.
The EFCC had brought the influencer before the court on June 9, 2026, accusing her of stealing and obtaining money by false pretences.
Prosecutors alleged that Blessing CEO collected N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025 after allegedly claiming she could secure a property lease in Lekki, Lagos, a representation the anti-graft agency described as fraudulent.
She denied the allegations and entered a not guilty plea.
As part of the bail proceedings, the court asked about her international passport. Her legal team informed the judge that the passport was missing and submitted an affidavit of loss along with published notices to support the claim.
The court ordered that she provide two sureties, each with financial backing equivalent to the N20 million bail. The sureties must present either bank statements covering the last three years or proof of a fixed deposit worth at least N20 million.
Justice Oshodi further directed that both the defendant and her sureties be registered on the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System. He also ordered the Nigerian Immigration Service to place her under travel restrictions until the case is concluded.
The case has been postponed until October 12, 2026, when the trial is expected to resume.
