Governor Ademola Adeleke has been declared the winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The final declaration was made by the Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, who officially returned Adeleke as the elected governor.
Adeleke, contesting under the Accord Party, secured 511,067 votes, defeating his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 444,815 votes.
The result gave Adeleke a winning margin of 66,252 votes, triggering jubilant celebrations among his supporters and residents.
