Broda Shaggi has broken his silence following widespread reports that he was hospitalised after being shot in Ogun State.

On March 13, 2026, online reports claimed the comedian was injured under the Sango‑Ota bridge while filming a skit. An anonymous police source suggested he was rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos for medical attention. Details of the incident remain unclear, and rumours circulated about possible motives, including claims that it was connected to his refusal to join the “City Boy movement.”

In the early hours of a recent morning, Broda Shaggi shared a cryptic post on his Instagram Stories, which has since been deleted. Though he did not directly address the alleged shooting, he hinted at wanting to speak his mind but said anything he posted would be removed.

He wrote: “But if you are gonna leave this world behind, leave it as a good person. It is 4 am and I wish like pouring out my mind but I can’t cos they will be deleted.”

The post has left fans concerned but also reflective, as the comedian avoided confirming the shooting while urging people to focus on leaving a positive legacy.
