Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has criticised colleagues who demand high fees to appear in her films but fail to support the projects after release.

In a fiery Instagram post, she said she has no problem with actors charging “3 million naira” or whatever they feel they deserve, but the issue arises when the film is released and they treat their paid work as if it were free. She called out performers who refuse to share the movie on their social media or promote it to their fans.

“Na when film come out you act like say na free you come work!!!! To even post movie for your page so your fans can watch, na war… Me and you go reach police station. So better avoid my money now to avoid stories that touch!” she wrote, stressing that she does not “pluck money from a tree.”

Nkechi Blessing warned that actors who take large fees but fail to back the movie will not be tolerated, bluntly telling them to “GTFO” if they cannot support the work they were paid for.

Her remarks highlight a growing concern in Nollywood, where filmmakers often rely on the star power of cast members to boost visibility and ensure a film’s success.
