Content creator Peller has revealed that his viral clash with comedian Carter Efe, which saw both stars vandalise each other’s cars, was entirely staged.

The incident, which unfolded during a livestream in February, was never a real dispute, according to Peller. He said it was a calculated stunt aimed at drawing attention and securing rewards from sponsors.

The drama occurred shortly after Carter Efe received a brand-new 2025 Toyota Corolla from billionaire businessman E-Money as a birthday gift. During the livestream, Peller climbed onto the car, denting its roof. In response, Carter Efe smashed Peller’s windscreen with a stone, prompting Peller to strike back by damaging the Corolla’s windscreen.

The clip quickly went viral, sparking outrage among Nigerians who condemned the destruction of high-value vehicles.

Peller later explained during a livestream with a friend that the entire episode was content-driven and meant to turn online attention into financial gain. “That one na for stream. In real life, me and Carter Efe cannot destroy each other’s cars. We use money find money. Na so life be. As we break glass, dem give us brand new car. Na so life be,” he said.

His revelation confirms earlier suspicions that the confrontation was staged, particularly after E-Money stepped in—presenting Peller with a new car and giving Carter Efe €5,000 to repair his damaged vehicle.
