Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is set to continue his career in the United States after agreeing to join Inter Miami on a free transfer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The move comes after weeks of negotiations between the player and the MLS club, with both parties finally reaching an agreement.

Despite enjoying a revival in form under interim manager Michael Carrick, Manchester United and Casemiro reportedly decided against activating the one-year extension clause in his contract.

The 34-year-old Brazilian became a key figure in United’s resurgence during the latter part of the season, playing an instrumental role as the club secured qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Partnering Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, Casemiro helped transform United’s fortunes under Carrick after a difficult spell earlier in the campaign. The switch back to a 4-2-3-1 formation allowed the veteran midfielder to rediscover his best form and showcase the qualities that made him one of Europe’s most decorated players.
