Charly Boy has opened up about a dark chapter of his life, admitting that he engaged in criminal activities while living in the United States as a young man.
The veteran entertainer made the revelation during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, where he reflected on the mistakes that shaped his journey. He said he took part in several dangerous and foolish acts in his youth, including white-collar crime, but believes those experiences have given his life a deeper purpose.
According to him, he was about 25 years old when he became involved in financial crimes in America, describing that period as one filled with poor decisions.
He said:
“I’ve made mistakes in my life. I’ve been a thief. I’ve done very risky things. I’ve done very stupid things, very foolish things. In fact, I have no business being here with you tonight, but I guess there’s a purpose for my life.”
“I was doing white-collar crime when I was in America. I was about 25 years old. I was doing a lot of stupid stuff. That’s why I say I’ve been there.”
