The public disagreement between Dabota Lawson and Diiadem has escalated, with Dabota giving her own version of events after Diiadem accused her of asking for a ₦5 million birthday gift to be returned.

Diiadem had earlier shared the transaction publicly, explaining that Dabota sent her the money for her birthday but later told her to send it back because it was supposedly part of a “girls game.” She also made other claims about their friendship while addressing rumours circulating online.

Dabota has now responded with a series of posts, accusing Diiadem of repeatedly taking their private disagreements to social media instead of addressing them directly.

She said she originally met Diiadem as a fan who interacted with her online and later allowed her into her personal circle.

According to Dabota, their relationship began changing after she secured a business funding opportunity. She claimed Diiadem had also applied for $10,000 from the same finance company but did not get the funding, while Dabota completed the process and was successful.

She alleged that Diiadem became increasingly hostile after she celebrated the achievement and that the tension grew further when Dabota renovated and rebranded her business.

Dabota also claimed she later heard that Diiadem was allegedly discouraging people from doing business with her.

On the birthday controversy, Dabota said the ₦5 million transfer did not represent everything she did financially for Diiadem. She claimed she spent more than ₦5 million spraying money at Diiadem’s birthday celebration, helped bring other people who sprayed her and also produced souvenirs for the event.

She further alleged that Diiadem had borrowed money from her several times and sometimes took months to repay the debts.

Dabota also addressed Diiadem’s comments involving Churchill. She claimed Diiadem publicly showed her relationship with him after travelling to Abuja and later asked to join them on a trip to Bali.

According to Dabota, she processed visas for both Diiadem and Churchill and still has documentation to support her claim.

She also alleged that she warned Diiadem about trying to maintain a friendship with Churchill’s former wife while being romantically involved with him.

On the issue involving Sophia Momodu, Dabota said she had already addressed her concerns directly during a television appearance and had no reason to secretly spread information about her.

She challenged Diiadem and the blogger allegedly involved in the controversy to publish whatever evidence they have against her.

Dabota also insisted that she had genuinely supported Diiadem throughout their friendship. She mentioned sharing opportunities with her, encouraging her to participate in campaigns and helping her prepare for an examination.

She further claimed that she supported Diiadem during her pregnancy and said she had never pretended about the friendship.

Dabota ended her response by demanding that Diiadem clearly explain what she believes Dabota did to her instead of making indirect accusations.

She said:

“Adeola Chizoba Diiadem, Is there anytime your gutter behavior will not surface on social media in the name of friendship???

“And is not always the same damn story line always ???

“Town crier, Ring light heavy weight champion.”

On the alleged funding dispute, she wrote:

“Secondly it’s paining you that I’m a successful woman and I am everything and more that you thought coming close to me will diminish. Boohoo.”

Regarding the birthday money, Dabota stated:

“Now, talking about money and your birthday: I spent well over N5 million spraying you, and I brought other people who also sprayed you. There is video evidence. Not only did I spray you even I made souvenirs for your party as a friend.”

She also alleged:

“Talking about money, how many times have you borrowed money from me and left me waiting for months before paying me back?”

Dabota challenged Diiadem to make her complaint specific, saying:

“SAY EXACTLY WHAT DABOTA LAWSON DID TO YOU.

“Tell the world exactly what Dabota Lawson did to you.

“Leave the cock-and-bull stories about everybody else out of it.

“Be explicit.

“State the offence.

“State what happened.

“State exactly what I did.”

She concluded by warning that she was prepared to release screenshots to back up her claims if the accusations continued.

“I don’t need to play victim or cry crocodile tears with a bloody ring light, rewatch myself crying and decide what part I will post to allow me gain public sympathy.. I AM DABOTA LAWSON don’t ever play with me,” she wrote.
