Publisher of Ovation magazine and politician, Dele Momodu, has generated political discussion online after sharing a campaign-style poster portraying him as the running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Momodu posted the image on his Facebook page on Monday, alongside a message calling for national reconciliation, reorientation, and reconstruction.

Although Atiku Abubakar has not officially named a running mate for the 2027 election, the post quickly drew attention on social media, with many interpreting it as a political signal ahead of the race.

In his accompanying remarks, Momodu suggested that the 2027 election would likely be dominated by a contest between President Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar.

“It promises to be the battle of the Titans. A third force, hopefully, may show up, like it did in 2023, but not with enough fire power and tenacity to upstage, and obliterate, the two elder statesmen,” he wrote.

He also urged the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to adopt a more inclusive political strategy that bridges the gap between older and younger generations, as well as between politicians and technocrats, in order to strengthen governance and national unity.

Momodu further called for closer cooperation between the North and South, arguing that such alignment could help address Nigeria’s long-standing political and social divisions.
