Druski has been unveiled as the host of the 2026 BET Awards, set to take place on June 28, as he brings his trademark humour to the prestigious ceremony.
The announcement came on Thursday, accompanied by a lively video where the comedian joked about taking full control of how the event would run, laying out a series of playful “rules” for attendees.
“I told BET if I’m hosting, we gon’ do this my way. Rule No. 1: Jamie Foxx, take that big ass hat off. Rule No. 2: Sexyy Red? No leggings, rompers, or bodysuits. We don’t need no wrestlers, no wrestlers on the red carpet. Black suit and tie. Rule No. 3: YNs? Take the ski masks off, man. Stop. Stop it. Rule No. 4: Megapastors, listen. I know y’all on my back right now. I’ve been getting the DMs and the threats. Just leave it up to God. We gon’ lock them doors, and can’t nobody get out. Welcome to the 2026 BET Awards.”
The hosting role comes at a time when Druski’s profile continues to soar across the entertainment space.
In 2026 alone, he has featured as a commentator on The Voice, while also maintaining a strong presence online with his viral comedy skits.
One of his recent clips, posted in March, gained massive traction after he appeared in heavy makeup and a blonde wig to parody “how conservative women in America act,” attracting nearly 200 million views on X and further boosting his popularity.
