Emergency responders are battling a fire outbreak at the Bono Energy Terminal in the Coconut area of Olodi Apapa, Lagos.

The incident occurred on Friday at the fuel terminal located along the Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, prompting an emergency response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

Confirming the development, the agency’s spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, said firefighters had been deployed to contain the blaze.

He said:

“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow.”

As of the time of reporting, the cause of the fire had not been established, while details about possible casualties or the extent of the damage were yet to be released.

Emergency personnel remain at the scene as efforts continue to bring the situation under control. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as the operation progresses.
