Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has responded to claims made by her estranged colleague Yomi Fabiyi, dismissing them on social media.
On Sunday, Akindele shared a post on Instagram in which she laughed off the allegations without directly naming anyone. She emphasized the principle of accountability, writing:
“I laugh in Swahili. You will reap what you sow.”
Fabiyi had previously accused Akindele of cutting ties with him after he completed building his house. During a livestream, he criticized relationships in Nollywood, saying:
“Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her.”
Akindele’s response suggests she is choosing to rise above the drama, letting the situation speak for itself.
