Popular skitmaker Carter Efe has revealed why he now feels more connected to Afrobeats star Davido amid his ongoing issues with fans of Wizkid.
The online drama started after Carter, following his win against Portable in a celebrity boxing match, jokingly mentioned that he would also like to face Wizkid in the ring and wanted the singer’s son, Boluwatife Balogun, to witness it.
His comments quickly sparked reactions online, especially from Wizkid’s loyal fanbase.
During a live session, Carter explained that he used to strongly support Wizkid, often promoting his songs whenever he released new music between 2023 and 2024. According to him, despite all the support he showed, the relationship was never returned with the same energy.
He said he proudly defended and celebrated Wizkid everywhere, even creating a successful song dedicated to him, but never got acknowledged by the singer.
Carter, however, said Davido treated him differently and made him feel valued. He disclosed that the singer openly expressed love for him and personally reassured him, something he says deeply touched him and changed his perspective.
