Nigerian music stars Idowest and Mr Real have sparked talks of a possible celebrity boxing match after engaging in a fresh war of words online.
The renewed tension between both artistes appears to stem from their long-running disagreement over the hit song “Legbegbe”, a dispute that has followed them for years and continues to resurface whenever they clash publicly.
In recent videos making the rounds on social media, both singers openly challenged each other while reacting to comments about a proposed boxing bout reportedly linked to entertainment executive Soso Soberekon.
Idowest, in his response, accepted the idea of a fight and boasted that he would defeat Mr Real convincingly if the match goes ahead. He also threw personal jabs while insisting he was fully prepared for the showdown.
“Mr Real, Mr Caro white ambassador I’ve accepted your challenge to fight, Sosoberekon has called me & we are fighting on the 31st of next month, I’ll beat you to the extent you’ll have amnesia & run mad,” he said.
Mr Real also fired back, dismissing Idowest’s confidence and claiming superiority over him. He further alleged that Idowest had previously made remarks about him during a livestream and responded with his own series of insults.
“Idowest, I heard everything you said at Carter Efe’s live. You said you will beat me in a match. I’m your senior brother and I’ll beat you. I heard you were deported from America,” he said.
Their exchange has since generated reactions online, with fans debating whether the rivalry could actually be turned into a staged boxing event, following the growing trend of celebrity fights in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
