Former Lagos State Governor and ex-Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, has dismissed speculation about seeking Nigeria’s highest office, saying he has no plans to run for president.
During an interview on TVC on Wednesday, Fashola was asked whether he intended to contest the presidency. He responded with a straightforward, “No.”
When the question was repeated, the former governor jokingly replied, “President of what? I’m president at home.”
Fashola also looked back on his time in government, describing his years in public service as an honour and a privilege.
