The Lagos State chapter of the Sports Writes Association of Nigeria (Lagos SWAN) will hold an Extraordinary Congress on Friday, 23rd of October by 12pm.
The Chairman of the Lagos SWAN Caretaker Committee, Patrick Omorodion, announced that the meeting is the first of many events to reposition the association and set it on the path of greatness after many years of leadership lacuna.
According to Omorodion, “The mandate given to the Caretaker Committee is quite straightforward. We are saddled with reorganizing the chapter, bringing everybody under the same umbrella and organising a credible and fair election to produce the next Lagos SWAN chapter executives”.
He enjoined members to turn up in their numbers at the National Stadium in Surulere to discuss the pathway for a united Lagos SWAN.
”This meeting is very crucial. Far reaching decisions will be taken. We are calling on all members to stand up and be counted at this crucial moment where we are restructuring a Lagos SWAN that works for all members”.
He affirmed that the committee does not want to spend an extra day in office. Hence, it is important that all members join hands in writing the next chapter of Lagos SWAN.
