Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has dismissed concerns over his wellbeing, urging Nigerians to stop focusing on him after a viral video showing him in Abuja sparked widespread reactions.
The actor broke his silence in a video shared by a man who said he met him on Tuesday. Looking relaxed, Anuku maintained that there was nothing wrong with him and insisted he was doing fine.
He urged those worried about him to channel their energy towards demanding better governance instead of speculating about his personal life.
“Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do go do something, I’m good,” he said.
The video comes days after footage circulated online showing the actor by a roadside in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja, where he appeared to be talking to himself while holding a disposable cup, leading to concern and debate about his condition on social media..
