Manchester City reignited the Premier League title race with a dominant 3-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, cutting the gap on leaders Arsenal.

After a tightly contested first half, City exploded into life shortly after the break, taking control with a rapid double strike. Nico O’Reilly and Marc Guehi both found the net within six minutes, shifting the momentum firmly in the visitors’ favour.

Jeremy Doku later added a third to complete a commanding display, as City capitalised on Arsenal’s shock 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth the previous day.

The result moves Pep Guardiola’s side to within six points of Arsenal, with a game in hand, setting up a crucial showdown at the Etihad Stadium on April 19.

City’s form remains strong across competitions, having already beaten Arsenal in the League Cup final and overcome Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Although recent league draws against West Ham United and Nottingham Forest briefly slowed their momentum, Guardiola’s side responded emphatically in London.

A subdued first-half display had raised doubts about City’s ability to apply pressure on the leaders, but a strong half-time adjustment transformed their performance.

With Arsenal still under pressure after squandering leads in previous title races, City now head into the final stretch of the season believing the race is firmly back on.
