Niniola has paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, Michael, during his Service of Songs held on Thursday.
The award-winning singer spoke movingly about their relationship, describing him as a constant source of love, support and encouragement throughout their time together.
She said her late husband was deeply involved in her life and career, adding that he played a key role in her journey to success and often motivated her to keep pushing forward.
Recalling their early days together, Niniola said he once promised to help her achieve stardom — a promise she believes he fulfilled through his unwavering support and belief in her talent.
She described him as her “engine,” noting that he was always present in her daily life, from the moment she woke up until she went to bed.
“Michael did everything for me. He was breathing for me. He loved me so much. I learnt so much from him. When he met me, he said, ‘I will make you a superstar.’ Michael was my engine. He was the first person I saw in the morning and the last person at night.”
