Jaywon has shared his opinion on the ongoing controversy involving former Big Brother Naija winner Ilebaye and her father following the voice note released by the reality star’s father.
Recall that Ilebaye’s father recently broke his silence and narrated his side of the story amid allegations of assault, a development that sparked heated reactions across social media.
Reacting to some of the claims, Jaywon questioned why Ilebaye’s father would complain about alleged hard drug use after allowing her participate in Big Brother Naija.
According to the singer, the reality show is not a place associated with moral or religious upbringing.
He wrote:
“Papa wey fit send PIKIN go big brother house dey complain say she dey take hard drugs. Dem tell you say na Bible studies dem dey go there go learn or is there anything positive for a girl child in BBN house ??”
Jaywon also condemned the extent of injuries allegedly sustained by Ilebaye, stating that no form of discipline should leave someone physically battered.
He added:
“How can you hurt someone to the point her body face look like that and still call it discipline? Even people caught stealing on the street are not treated that way. The scary part is seeing people defend this kind of evil.”
His remarks have since stirred mixed reactions online as debates surrounding the family issue continue.
