Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has lashed out at social media users criticising her over her reaction to the reported marriage and baby news involving Baba Ijesha and celebrity stylist Luminee.
The controversy began after Baba Ijesha, who was previously convicted in a sexual assault case involving a minor, announced that he and Luminee had welcomed a baby boy. In his announcement, the actor said God had rewritten his story by blessing him with a wife and a child.
Reacting to the news, Nkechi shared a video expressing disbelief and questioning how the situation came to be. Her reaction, however, drew criticism from some netizens, who accused her of hypocrisy and mocked her history of failed relationships.
The actress fired back, insisting that despite her past romances, none of her former partners had been paedophiles.
“Always quick to shut people up with you, dey change men like cloth. At least none of them is a paedophile. Ogun kill all of una. It’s like una thinks say, ‘I well?’
“You don ever ask yourself if some of us want to marry? Cos you open your rotten mouth, dey marriage shame me.
“Oya dey go now. Married women’s association. Ndi suffering and smiling,” she wrote.
Her response has since sparked another round of debate online, with social media users divided over her stance and the ongoing controversy surrounding Baba Ijesha and Luminee.
