The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife, Mariam Ajibola, have welcomed twin sons.
The traditional ruler announced the birth of the princes in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Friday, describing the development as a special blessing to the Royal House of Oduduwa.
Celebrating the arrival of the twins, the monarch thanked God and revealed that both mother and babies are healthy.
“To God be all the glory and adoration for His wondrous works and abundant blessings once again!
“Warmest congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and to Olori Mariam Ajibola on the joyous arrival of twin princes to the royal throne of Oduduwa today.
“We give thanks to Almighty God as both mother and children are in good health.”
The Ooni’s latest announcement comes after the end of his marriage to Olori Naomi. The monarch later married six wives within a period of three months.
