A viral video has ignited public outrage after showing a group of schoolgirls assaulting and stripping a fellow student.
The footage, shared on X on Monday by a user identified as #mobilisingniger, shows at least five uniformed girls attacking the victim.
While the incident reportedly took place in Benue State, authorities have not yet confirmed the specific school involved.
In the video, the victim struggles to cover herself as the attackers laugh, drag her around, and continue the harassment. A male student is seen observing without intervening, while another person films the incident.
The clip has provoked widespread condemnation across Nigeria, with calls for immediate intervention from the Benue State Government, the Benue State Police Command, and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable.
