Singer Paul Okoye has reaffirmed his pride in being Nigerian and Igbo through a series of cryptic social media posts, coming just days after his twin brother, Peter Okoye, defended himself against criticism over his children’s inability to speak a Nigerian language.

Although Paul did not mention anyone by name, he stressed that culture, language and heritage are central to his identity.

He wrote on his X account:

«“I’m a ‘nobody’ I repeat!! a nobody!! without the culture, native, language, the pride, of a Nigerian 🫡🇳🇬100% proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬100% proudly Igbo 🫡”»

In a separate post, he again celebrated his roots, saying:

«“100% proudly Igbo 🫡100% proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬❤️ #musicallyrude 🎼🎙️ Stay blessed and alive 🙏”.»

Paul’s comments surfaced shortly after Peter Okoye responded to those questioning why his children do not speak a Nigerian language, maintaining that the way he chooses to raise his family is entirely his decision.
