Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has initiated a N500 million lawsuit against content creator Carter Efe after he publicly claimed that they had been sexually involved.
The controversy began after streamer Davrel alleged that Carter Efe had told him Phyna was “of no benefit.” In response, Phyna accused Davrel of failing to pay a debt he owed.
The dispute later escalated when Davrel claimed that Phyna had made advances towards him and repeatedly asked him to introduce her to his father.
During a heated exchange that was shared on social media, Carter Efe also alleged that he had slept with Phyna.
Phyna asked:
«“Me and you fuck?”»
Carter replied:
«“Yes. I will bring the whole evidence come outside.”»
Phyna responded:
«“Thank you very much. You and Davrel will hear from my lawyer.”»
Addressing the situation during an Instagram Live session on Thursday night, Phyna apologised to her fans and said the recent events had made her realise she needed to handle such matters differently.
She explained that while she had endured several online attacks in the past, she would no longer tolerate allegations involving her personal or sexual life. According to her, she has decided to stop responding emotionally and instead seek legal redress.
Phyna revealed that both Carter Efe and Davrel had already been served with legal documents.
«“Since I started streaming, I tried to stream the way everybody streams, but it has brought a lot of disrespect to me… This is the end of that Phyna because, at last, I’m finally learning how to use legal means… Carter Efe and Davrel, check your emails and WhatsApp. You’ve been served. Thank you.”»
Carter Efe later confirmed the development in a video, stating that he had been sued for N500 million.
"I won't let this one slide. People can accuse me of anything, but when it comes to s€xual and man-related issues, that's not who I am. When I'm done with Carter Efe and Davreal, this will be the last time anyone tries something like this with me."
