Protesters on Monday forced their way into the Ogun State Government House during a massive demonstration over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

The protest, linked to the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and other concerned groups, escalated at the entrance of the Government House as demonstrators pushed against the gate despite efforts by security operatives to stop them.

A video from the scene showed protesters shoving the gate forcefully while security agents on the other side repeatedly ordered them to retreat.

The warnings were ignored as the crowd continued to surge forward until they eventually gained access into the premises, with many carrying placards and chanting demands for the immediate release of the abducted pupils and teachers.

The protest is part of a wider wave of anger following the kidnapping incident in Oyo State, with teachers and residents calling for urgent action to rescue the victims and strengthen security in schools across affected areas.
