Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have booked their places in the Champions League semi-finals after Tuesday’s decisive quarter-final second-leg clashes.

PSG secured their spot with an impressive performance away at Liverpool, building on their 2-0 first-leg advantage. After a quiet opening half, Ousmane Dembele struck twice in the second half to seal qualification and keep the defending champions on course.

At the Wanda Metropolitano, Atletico Madrid advanced despite a 2-1 defeat on the night. Diego Simeone’s side had already done the damage with a 2-0 first-leg win at the Nou Camp, and Ademola Lookman’s vital goal ensured they edged through after Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres had drawn the tie level on aggregate.

PSG will now take on the winner of the clash between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the semi-finals, while Atletico Madrid are set to face either Arsenal or Sporting.
