Real Warri Pikin has announced the cancellation of her upcoming show in Warri, Delta State, following what she described as an unfortunate situation involving divisions within the state.

The comedian and actress revealed the development in a statement shared on Instagram, expressing disappointment that an event she expected to bring people together had instead become affected by disagreements.

She explained that the show, which was expected to take place in the coming weeks, would no longer go ahead because of the circumstances surrounding the divisions.

Despite the setback, Real Warri Pikin stressed that her identity and influence extend far beyond the community where she was born. She said she does not see herself as being restricted by her local government, her parents’ origins or geographical boundaries.

The entertainer said she considers herself a representative of Delta State, Nigeria and Africa, while also identifying with women from different tribes, races and parts of the world.

She further maintained that neither tribal differences nor politics would be allowed to define the purpose she believes God has given her.

Real Warri Pikin also expressed appreciation to people who stood with her during the controversy, including those who contacted her, offered advice and provided emotional support.

Although she admitted that the circumstances were disappointing, she said she had no resentment towards those involved. Instead, she urged people to embrace unity, noting that greater progress can be achieved when people work together.

She concluded by making it clear that cancelling the Warri event would not affect her larger ambitions or commitment to her purpose.

Her message reads:

“It is deeply disappointing that, at this stage in our society, we are still confronted with division where there should be unity.

“It is therefore with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my Warri show, which was scheduled to take place in a few weeks, due to circumstances arising from the unfortunate divisions currently at play.

“But I need to make something very clear. The Real Warri Pikin brand is bigger than where I was born.

“I am not limited by my local government. I am not defined only by where my father comes from or where my mother comes from.

“I represent every local government in Delta State. I represent Delta State. I represent Nigeria. I represent Africa. And as a woman, I represent women across tribes, races and borders.

“There are no limitations to what God has called me to do on this earth, and I will not allow anyone to reduce that calling to geography, tribe or politics.

“To everyone who has stood by me, made calls, offered counsel, encouraged me and comforted me through this period, thank you. I do not take your support for granted.

“My prayer is simply that God gives us all the wisdom to understand that we achieve far more when we build together than when we divide ourselves.

“The show may be cancelled, but the vision is not.

“I am Real Warri Pikin. I am proudly Delta. I am proudly Nigerian. And I will continue to do what God has called me to do,” she said.
