Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has legally married his partner, Ella, in a ceremony held in Malta.
The singer announced the union on his Instagram page on Wednesday, revealing that the couple exchanged vows in what he described as the most beautiful city.
Confirming the marriage, L.A.X wrote: “Legally hitched to the love of my life, in the most beautiful city. Malta, you have our hearts.”
The wedding comes several months after the couple’s formal engagement, which took place on January 16, 2026.
L.A.X began his music career as a rapper during his secondary school years as a member of the group Flyboiz before eventually pursuing a solo career.
He gained widespread recognition in the Nigerian music industry in 2013 following the release of Caro, a collaboration with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment.
The song was nominated for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and helped establish L.A.X as a prominent name in the Nigerian music scene.
Following the success of Caro, L.A.X collaborated with Wizkid again on Ginger, further strengthening his presence in the industry.
The singer later established his own independent record label, Rasaki Music.
